Easterfest is really like a giant theme park. Once inside you can experience and see everything in the program and this year we have thrown in a whole lot of new experiences:

Finally we’ve decided to throw something heavier into the mix by giving you As I Lay Dying and Disciple. As I Lay Dying is an award winning metalcore band from San Diego, California and the Knoxville Tennessee band, Disciple has matured from an aggressive metal band to a quartet with a strong sense of melody and penchant for the unexpected. So we conclude our headline artist announcements with the restful assurance that Easterfest 2010 will have a little bit of something for everyone.

Our line-up is filling up fast with more and more great artists and a bigger and better variety of music styles than ever before. For all you die hard Hip-Hoppers we’ve got the award-winning rapper from the States, KJ-52 and for the rockers out there we’ve got the unique sounds of Ivoryline, a 5-piece rock band from Tyler, Texas who joined the Tooth & Nail team in 2006.

Sanctus Real

Success for Sanctus Real has typically been marked with massive radio singles (including six No. 1 songs and 11 Top 5 hits), albums that have marched up the Billboard sales charts, major tours with some of the biggest names in the business, or draped with various awards, including the Modern Rock Album of the Year Dove Award. Their newest record, We Need Each Other, also received a Grammy Award nomination which just goes to show that this band from Toledo, Ohio is well worth their salt. They have never even been to Australia before and yet have already had numerous #1 Radio hits on Radio stations all across Australia. We have no doubt that they will be a firm favourite at Easterfest 2010.

Easterfest 2010 is very happy to give you Hawk Nelson...we worked very hard to get you this very popular Pop/Punk/Rock band hailing from Peterborough, Ontario. This band has worked their magic in the secular world as much as they have in the Christian music scene - everything from a #1 spot on VH1's top 20 video countdown to being voted "Favorite New Artist" by the CCM Magazine in their February 2006 Reader's Choice Awards. They're definitely the band at Easterfest 2010 that you DON'T want to miss.

The New Newsboys

The Newsboys are returning to Easterfest with a new sound, new look, new show - new Newsboys!

In March this year Peter Furler (lead singer for Newsboys) decided to call it quits after 22 years and chose Michael Tait (ex DC talk) to carry on what he started as a teenager. With Mike Tait as the new frontman we can expect to see a very new and exciting sound coming from the Newsboys on the Easterfest 2010 Mainstage!

Resurrection Band

Easterfest today announced that US rock legends Resurrection Band are reuniting for Easterfest 2010! It's been said that Rez Band were the early pioneers of Christian Rock (they were already rockin' when Petra were still finding their sound!). With 13 studio albums and 6 other releases, Rez Band are true legends of rock!

Lead singer, Glenn Kaiser will also bring the 'Glenn Kaiser Band' to the festival - a scorching power trio that serves up hard-driving blues rock with no-nonsense lyrics.

New Mainstage

Toowoomba Regional Council is hard at work building a bigger and better Mainstage for Easterfest 2010!

Construction has started on increasing the capacity of our biggest venue to over 12,000 people - which means more Easterfesters can enjoy the amazing headline artists we have lined up for 2010! The Council are also working on fixing up the drainage - so the days of sloshy mud pits are over..

We will keep you updated on how things are going - hopefully the grass will grow back before Easter!

In the tradition of unearthing new International artists (such as newworldson and Naturally 7), Easterfest today announced that Canadian band ARTICLE ONE will be appearing in Australia for the first time ever at Easterfest 2010.

Easterfest tickets are now on sale and the next Easterfest headline artist will be announced on Wed 14th October.
