Easterfest: 21 to 23 March 2008
Things are changing at AGMF. . . our name has changed to Easterfest and we are going ‘all-out’ to make our 10th anniversary year amazing!
New venues, improved camping, free showrides with every ticket, our biggest artist line-up ever and the inclusion of new events including the Iona Passion Play, Focus on the Family LIVE! and ‘Have you got talent?’.
Easterfest is about music, it is about having fun with friends and family, it is about community, it is about making a difference in the world… but most importantly it is all about Easter itself. The first Easter split time in two and thousands of years later it is still the most defining point in history - worth celebrating!
Underoath are coming over here in september, so there will be no need for them to be at Eaterfest/AGMF.
Toby Mac has been to Aussie before yes, to Sonfest i think 2002. Very Good stuff there.
HIGH FIVE to the whole Easterfest team for the best yet in 08. Havent seen Audio A since Sonfest so that’ll be great to see em on an exclusive reunion show.
My band shall be applying this year, so keep an ear out.

Great Easterfest - definitely get Stacie Orrico to come next year - it was so dissapointing she had to pull out in 2006, so it’d be great to see her in the line-up for Easterfest 2009!
Getting Toby Mac to come to Easterfest… that would be sweet… actually, has he been to australia yet?

Great Job- Excellent band line up - i believe though its time to let some other bands get some more exposure though, theres some awesome bands that have been playing at agmf/easterfest now for over 4 years, and still have only one slot at a dodgy time. Whilst other new bands first year get 2 or more slots - or some older bands who don’t play anywhere through out the year and are major artists at easterfest.
Its time to showcase the new generation of bands!
curious as to how you pick and choose what bands go where?
I’m a fan of the local band In The Light of Absence, and think they’d be better suited to a spot like in the epicentre, cos their music is more chilled out, rather than rock-your-brains-out, like is usually in the Shed. a spot in the Shed again would be good… but an acoustic set would suit them really well also.
Just a thought, if you get them back next year. And please do. They are a highlight of the weekend for me, and for others, I know.
As an old burnt out guitarist, I appreciate quality musicianship, and I saw and heard that from “INTO THE OCEAN”. This group really put on a top performance and the quality of their work is second to none. The crowds obviously agreed by their attendance. The place was packed for their performance.
INTO THE OCEAN’s lead guitarist has to be one of the best I have ever seen or heard. Is he a magician or what? He handles that guitar like no one I have ever seen.

Just want to say a big thankyou to Isac Moody and the the rest of the crew for putting on one of the best weekends ever. I am a chaplain at Sandgate State High School, i was able to take 12 students who carnt wait for next year allready! They loved it. On the tuesday back at school 6 of the students came to student prayer for the first time and 2 of them asked god into there life. All your hard work is so worth it. Thanks heaps!!!!!!!

Hi ! It was our first year at Easterfest - took the whole family. We all really loved the Newsboys! Awesome! We were really disappointed that we missed Matt Corby - we didn’t realise he was not on site but at a shopping centre until it was too late. I think he should have made an appearance on site on Saturday as well. Just a suggestion - can we have more amusement rides/ activities for the older kids (8-13 year olds). Felt that age group wasn’t that well catered for e.g. not enough rides for the number of people. Thanks to all.
The Lads were the best along side Newsboys
My other fav was MxPx
agmf was tops this year, as usual. mxpx and skeppers were the best.
wish blindside would come back, can always hope for next year
