FAQ

Check the list below for answers to all the most frequently asked questions about Toowoomba and Easterfest.  If you can't find the answer to your question feel free to get in touch, our contact details are available HERE.

All this info & more detail will be found in the festival program which you will receive free on the weekend but you can also follow us on Twitter & Facebook to stay in touch with the most up to date info as it becomes available throughout the year.

Because there are so many variables involved in making Easterfest happen all information on this website is subject to change without notification at Easterfest's discretion, BUT we will do our best to keep you updated if anything changes.

Animals

No animals allowed in any Easterfest areas, except for working assistance animals.

Armbands

Your armband must be worn at all times. In the interest of security, visitors without camping armbands are not allowed in to the camping area. Please arrange to meet non-campers in the main festival area.

Artist Interviews

Media interviews with headline artists will again be presented Vision Radio Network in the Arena in 2012.

Artist Signings

Most of our headline artists will be signing at some time during the festival but you will not be able to attend unless you have a PREMIUM TICKET. Check the signings area for the final schedule.

ATM

There will be ATM's located on site at Easterfest in 2012 (hooray!) - located at the main entry to the site (corner Hume & Margaret Streets). $3 transaction fee applies, with a maximum of $300 per transaction.

Baby Change/Feeding Room

There is a 'baby change/feeding room' area located near Easterfest Kids.

Bikes & Scooters

No pushbikes or scooters permitted in the Queen's Park festival or camping precincts.

Broken Armbands

We are again using stronger armbands in 2012 - but if you somehow still manage to break yours you can replace it at the Box Office for $5. No old armband = no new armband AND sticky taped together armbands will be confiscated.

Camping

You need a camping pass to get in to the Queen's Park campground. Camping upgrades are available by calling Easterfest on 1800 66 55 11.

Camping Areas

Family camping and youth camping areas are available. Noise must be kept to an absolute minimum in the family camping area (10pm curfew) while the youth camping area noise curfew will be 1am so please choose your area carefully.

Car Parking

There is plenty of public parking in Toowoomba’s CBD. Please consider local residents and do not park in the residential streets surrounding Queen's Park - as we want to be back next year! Please be aware that police regularly fine illegally parked vehicles throughout the festival.

Toowoomba Regional Council regulations prevent cars from being left in the campground during the festival but parking is available within 5min walk at the TAFE carpark. When you first enter the campsite you will be able to drive your vehicle to within 150m of your campsite to unload your gear. You will then need to move your vehicle to the parking area.

Child Minding

Unfortunately there are no child minding facilities available at Easterfest. Our Easterfest Kids precinct will keep your children well entertained but children remain the responsibility of parents at all times. We have a baby change & feeding room available for parents use.

Child Tickets

Child tickets are available for children aged between 3 and 16 years. Children 2 years and under are admitted free when accompanied by a paying adult. See our ticket pricing conditions HERE.

Church Services

Some Toowoomba churches host Easterfest artists over the festival. Information regarding service times and locations can be found HERE

Compassion

Walk in the shoes of a child in crisis.  Visit the Compassion Marquee.

Cooking in Campsite

Gas BBQs and cookers will be supplied in the camp kitchens. You are not able to bring your own BBQ, gas or butane equipment. Easterfest will confiscate these items if found in the camp ground. This is a regulation from Toowoomba Regional Council - but don’t worry, we provide lots of free BBQs and gas rings in the cooking area for your use between 5.30am and 12.30am. Hot water and wash up sinks are also available in the cooking areas.

Crowd Surfing

Is a big no-no! Keep surfing to the beach.

Departure

Campers will be able to get their vehicles in to the campground to DEPART on Sunday from 4pm to 11.30pm, and Monday from 6am (dependant on weather conditions). See wet weather condition for exceptions to this. Campers must depart by 12noon Monday.

Disabled Facilities & Access

Easterfest does not have designated public car parking but thousands of car parks are available right next to the festival site in Toowoomba’s CBD including reserved disabled parks. In addition there will be a designated disabled drop off zone on Margaret Street right near the main festival entry. Disabled parking for campground access is available at the Council Depot carpark near the Lindsay St gate.

The festival site is a public park so much of it is grass & can be quite hilly but every effort is made to make venues wheelchair accessible, full wheelchair access is available at the toilets located next to the main festival entry.  In 2012 there will be disabled access to Mainstage at the bottom end of the park rather than the top of the hill.  Being a temporary setup in a public park our campground has limited disabled facilities.

Drugs & Alcohol

Queen’s Park is a completely drug and alcohol free precinct. Easterfest is committed to ensuring that patrons can have a great and fun weekend in a safe, enjoyable environment.  If a patron is found with alcohol in the campground it will be confiscated and the patron will have their armband removed before being removed from the festival site.  In the event that persons are found in possession of illegal drugs (including underage persons with alcohol) the police will be informed immediately.

E-Tickets

Your e-ticket is just like cash - so remember to bring it along. If you do forget, speak to the friendly box office staff, but please note that it may take us up to 30minutes to find your ticket if you have forgotten it (if we are able to at all).
